Lead the construction phase of housing projects, driving safe, on-time, and high-quality deliveryRoles available in Auckland, Wellington and Bay of PlentyEarly January 2026 start, fixed term until July 2026, rate up to $157,839 (pro rata)Te whiwhinga mahi - Our opportunityYou will lead the construction phase of multiple housing projects, you’ll make sure everything runs safely, on time, within budget, and to the right standards – while keeping communication clear and consistent.In this role, you’ll take ownership of site operations, manage build partners, and work closely with a collaborative project team. From pre-start meetings and resource planning to health and safety compliance and stakeholder engagement, you’ll keep projects moving and solve issues before they become roadblocks.You’ll also champion continuous improvement, mentor Assistant Project Managers, and ensure quality and compliance across every site. Strong reporting, risk management, and relationship-building will be key to your success.These roles are part of a highly focused team that work together in the office during set hours Monday to Friday.Ngā Pūmanawatanga Ōu - What You Will BringHere’s what you will bring to the role:5+ years’ project management experience in construction, ideally with a relevant qualification and/or PMP/Prince2 certificationStrong understanding of NZS 3915 contract standards and NZS 3604 building standardsSkilled in contract management, negotiation, and resolving construction issuesAbility to prepare project schedules, manage risks, and ensure compliance with Health & Safety and legislative requirementsProven experience managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneouslyExcellent stakeholder engagement skills, including working with iwi and community groupsStrong written and verbal communication, planning, and organisational skillsComfortable working in an Agile, team-based environment and embracing continuous improvementKnowledge of government processes or similar environments is an advantageNōu te rourou - What's in it for you?
