Public Relations Consultant - Social Media ManagerThis is a brilliant opportunity for a Social Media Consultant / Manager with a passion for social storytelling, culture, and content to join the ambitious Thrive team.You’ll lead and deliver social media strategy, content and community management across a diverse portfolio of global and local clients - spanning financial services, retail, automotive and more across B2C and B2B.If you're strong in social strategy, love creating content that connects, can confidently manage influencers, and have some experience in paid social (or the appetite to learn!), this role is for you.What You’ll DoDevelop and deliver social-first strategies, content plans and monthly calendars across owned, earned and paid channels.Ideate, plan and contribute to content shoots and production alongside Thrive’s in-house teams.Create culturally relevant ideas and platform-native content that drives engagement and brand storytelling.Manage day-to-day social channels — community management, posting schedules and performance tracking.Lead influencer outreach, negotiation and content management across campaigns.Support paid social activity: briefing and optimising campaigns, reviewing performance, and ensuring alignment with strategy (experience or strong interest welcome).Collaborate with creative, studio, design and production teams to deliver high-quality work.Work closely with client stakeholders, building strong relationships and providing strategic recommendations.Contribute ideas to new business, brainstorms and proactive pitches.What You’ll Bring4–6 years’ experience in social media, content or PR roles (agency or in-house).Strong understanding of social platforms, trends, culture and audience behaviour.Hands-on experience delivering social media plans and content that travel across formats and channels.Experience managing influencers — identifying talent, negotiating deliverables, and overseeing content approvals.Exposure to paid social (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok etc) or confidence to learn and support in campaign execution.Ability to brief, plan and support content production and shoots.Strong writing and editing skills across social copy, short-form formats and campaign content.Excellent organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage timelines across multiple clients.Strong client liaison skills and proven experience managing day-to-day relationships.A collaborative mindset with positive energy, thriving in a fast-paced team environment.Why Thrive?We’re proudly independent, female-led and values-driven, with teams across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane/GC and Auckland.
