You will contribute to a variety of projects including major projects in Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland, and smaller community projects for government authorities and contractors. You will also bring a passion for new ideas, approaches, and solutions to existing and emerging problems.Your daily tasks will vary and may include: Managing project deliverables and interfacing with the client directly Coastal process data analysis, numerical modelling, and problem solvingDesign of coastal infrastructure such as nourishment, revetments, and groynes Condition assessment of existing infrastructureRequirementsWhat we're looking forYou will be a motivated and proactive Coastal Engineer with the right combination of energy and a commitment to learning, bring your perspective and skills to diverse projects, and an ambition to design your own career path.You will also have:4+ years of experience in Consulting; (candidates with a Coastal Engineering degree will be considered with less experience)Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (Coastal Engineering preferred)Core skills in wave theory, coastal processes, and coastal modelling. but can also contribute to other projects outside this core areaStrong interpersonal skills to liaise positively with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of innovative client solutionsExcellent report writing skillsAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlinesPreferred skills:Knowledge of international codes such as USACE CEM and the Rock ManualExperience in the design of coastal infrastructure and/or structuresKnowledge of how to translate coastal data (including numerical models) into real world solutionsPractical on-site experience in the delivery of coastal infrastructure Proficient in Python programming languageBenefitsOur BenefitsUp to 18 weeks of paid parental leave Clear pathways for career growth and development Regular social events and wellbeing initiatives Supportive team environment What happens next?Send us your CV and a short cover letter.
