As a leader in Australian manufacturing and packing services, Probiotec provides innovative healthcare products that improve the lives and well-being of our customers.Position Summary:As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and executing a wide range of technical and engineering activities. This role plays a key part in the planning, coordination, and delivery of capital projects, with a focus on manufacturing and packaging equipment, facilities infrastructure, and utility systems. The successful candidate will manage project lifecycles from concept through to commissioning, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and alignment with business objectives.Key responsibilities:Project Scoping and Stakeholder Engagement:Define clear project scopes and deliverables by working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Proactively identify and engage all relevant stakeholders—such as operations, maintenance, quality, and safety—to ensure alignment and buy-in throughout the project lifecycle.Proposal Development and Project Spend Forecasting:Prepare, review, and submit detailed capital expenditure proposals, including technical justifications, budget estimates, risk assessments, and ROI analysis. Manage project financials through entire lifecycle, with a focus on accurate forecasting and spending. Obtain necessary approvals and ensure alignment with business objectives and financial governance processes.Oversee Installation and Commissioning Activities:Manage the end-to-end installation and commissioning of production equipment, facility infrastructure, and utility systems, ensuring all components are delivered, installed, tested, and verified in accordance with project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.Documentation and Validation Support:Provide support for the preparation, review, and execution of technical documentation and validation protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory and GxP quality standards across all phases of project implementation.Internal Stakeholder Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with key internal stakeholders, fostering effective communication, trust, and alignment across departments to drive project success and continuous improvement initiatives.Skills required for the position:BA degree in Engineering – Chemical, Process, Mechanical or similar.Minimum of 3 years prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry.Ability to successfully manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Prioritizing and balancing short-term objectives with long-term strategy. The ability to communicate effectively with people at various levels including Engineering, Production, Quality, and Senior Management.
