We are a subsidiary of Hanwha Corporation, the largest and most influential defence corporation in South Korea.Position Overview: The Software Test Engineer shall be responsible for ensuring that the execution of Software test and validation activities within HDA’s (Hanwha Defence Australia) Software Engineering team are completed in a structured and consistent manner. Primary Duties: Test and validate the Software elements of the HDA's Electronic Architecture (EA) across all HDA programs. Support C4I capability through systems engineering product lifecycle from concept through to Design Acceptance for a Land Platform Create and maintain Test Strategies Develop, update and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases Create Defect Reports, Bug Reports and Test Summary Reports Develop and Maintain Automated Test Scripts Provide technical input and guidance to technical stakeholders and their teams Provide technical input to the management and scheduling of technical activities Engage stakeholders and manage stakeholder expectations Where tasked, act as an owner of Software deliverables and report on progress against deliverables, proposed activities, risks and issues, and key priorities Perform other Software related duties where required by the supervisor or Software Engineering lead. Qualifications: Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering or Science discipline with relevant industry or domain work experience. Professional qualifications or accreditation in software testing (e.g., ISTQB CTFL, CTAL). Experience: Professional experience as a Software Test Engineer. Professional experience on owning the whole Software verification and validation activities. Professional experience in: Behaviour Driven and Test Driven developments. Professional experience in testing Software running on both Windows and Linux. Desirable experience in testing Software running in a System with strong Security, Safety and Human Factor Engineering requirements. Desirable experience building Test Automation Frameworks Desirable experience with systems like BMS-C2, BMS-F, AFATDS, DTCS, and C4ISREW. Skills and Key Attributes: Proven ability to effectively manage relationships and positively resolve disputes with internal/external stakeholders Meticulous approach to work, with the ability to identify potential risks and issues proactively. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality. Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Demonstrates adaptability and can be flexible to meet the needs of the organisation and other team members. Skilled in supporting design reviews, V&V programs, test planning, conduct, and reporting. Knowledge of Australian Standard for Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON). Flexible and adaptability, as you'll be expected to quickly pivot and respond to changing priorities and dynamic work environments.
