Excellent Career Progression Pro-active & supportive leadership Flexible working arrangements Work for one of Australia’s leading hospital groupsAbout The RoleYou will be accountable for:Correctly collecting, caring, storing, packaging and labelling pathology specimensProviding a high quality pathology service to requesting doctors and patientsGreeting patients in a friendly and courteous manner and interviewing patients to ascertain key information for identification purposesReferring Doctor/s informationCollection of category and billing informationExplaining procedures to patient and providing written instructions as appropriateCollecting the required specimen(s), place in suitably labelled containers, fix laboratory number stickers, store and transport appropriatelyCouriering specimens / reports from the collection location to the required destination if requiredYour Contribution Certificate 3 or 4 in Pathology CollectionExperience in a Pathology collection service is highly desirable, preferably previous experience in the points listed above.Highly developed customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written)What We OfferFlexibility – there are shifts available 7 days per week, AM and PM and all over Melbourne.
