Call for Country Lead Consultants – Urban Food Systems EvaluationWe are assembling a team for an independent evaluation of a global programme focused on sustainable food systems. The evaluation will examine how locally led coalitions and initiatives influence governance, narratives, climate-resilient practices, and economic opportunities for youth and women across several countries.We are seeking Country Lead Consultants to lead city-level case studies. Consultants must be based in one of the countries and willing to travel to the cities for data collection:Colombia: Cali, MedellínEcuador: Manabí (MANPANOR), Quito–Chocó AndinoIndonesia: Bandung, West ManggaraiZambia: Kitwe, ChongweZimbabwe: Bulawayo, MutareRole and responsibilitiesCountry Leads will lead a city-level case study as part of a wider mixed-methods evaluation. Responsibilities will include:Leading the city case study design and implementationCoordinating and mentoring youth contributors involved in data collectionConducting key informant interviews and focus group discussionsFacilitating local workshops or sense-making sessionsManaging fieldwork logistics and stakeholder engagementSupporting analysisPreparing a case study reportIndicative timeline: October 2026-February 2027Priority skills and experienceWe are particularly interested in consultants who bring:Strong understanding of urban food systems and governanceExcellent facilitation, interviewing, and qualitative research skillsStrong analysis and writing skills (evaluation background welcome but not essential)Experience working with youth, gender equality, or marginalized groupsRelevant local language skills and experience working in the country contextIf you are interested, please send a CV.
