Vice President, Private Credit InvestmentsSuan Capital is an alternative investment firm currently being established in Zambia, to provide investment opportunities to global investors.Suan Capital is looking to hire a Vice President, Private Credit Investments who will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing private credit investment opportunities across a variety of sectors, with a focus on middle-market and upper middle-market companies. This individual will play a critical role in setting up our lending platform, cultivating new borrower relationships, and partnering with internal teams to deliver tailored credit solutions. Key ResponsibilitiesSource, originate, and structure private credit investments across direct lending, opportunistic credit, and structured solutions.Develop and maintain strong relationships with financial sector partners, intermediaries, advisors, and corporate borrowers to generate a sustainable pipeline of opportunities.Lead transaction execution, including due diligence, financial modeling, structuring, and negotiation of terms.Partner with portfolio management and underwriting teams to ensure consistent credit discipline and risk management throughout the investment lifecycle.Represent the firm externally at industry conferences, sponsor meetings, and networking events.Contribute to the ongoing evolution of origination strategy, including sector focus, sponsor coverage, and product expansion.Mentor and develop junior professionals on the team. Qualifications10+ years of relevant experience in credit management preferably from a Zambian bank.Proven track record of originating and executing credit investments, with established banking relationships.Deep understanding of credit structuring, financial modeling, and transaction negotiation.Strong network across leading Zambian banks, advisors, and corporate finance professionals.Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Excellent communication, relationship management, and leadership skills.Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or other advanced credentials a plus.  LocationThe position will be based in Lusaka, Zambia.How to apply:Send resume and cover letter to: recruitment@suancapital.com
