Job PurposeReporting to the Senior Contracts Manager, this role supports the project management team in drafting, reviewing and negotiating real-estate development agreements, consultancy agreements, construction contracts, subcontracts, and vendor/service agreements.Key Responsibilities:Draft, review, and negotiate development agreements, consultancy agreements, construction contracts, subcontracts, and vendor/service agreements.Ensure compliance of all contracts with corporate policies, statutory requirements, and best industry practices.Manage pre-contract activities, including tender documentation, RFPs, contract conditions, clarifications, and evaluation.Lead post-contract administration, including variations, claims, EOT (extension of time), delay analysis, and payments.Safeguard the developer contractual rights and entitlements under FIDIC and local law.Advise project teams on contractual and commercial risks, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.Liaise with consultants, contractors, and authorities to resolve disputes and claims in a timely and cost-effective manner.Prepare contractual correspondence, notices, and responses to protect the developer interests.Maintain accurate records of all contractual communications and agreements for audit and legal reference.Support management in settlement negotiations, dispute resolution, and arbitration/litigation processes.Contribute to continuous improvement of contract templates, policies, and procedures.Qualifications:Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management,Minimum 10 years of experience in contract management, with at least 5 years in the real estate development sector.Strong knowledge of FIDIC (1999 Red/Yellow Book) and other standard forms of contract commonly used in the UAE/GCC real estate market.Previous experience in drafting bespoke contracts.Familiarity with UAE Civil Code, real estate regulations, and dispute resolution procedures (arbitration/litigation).Proven track record in managing pre- and post-contract stages for large-scale mixed-use or residential/commercial developments.Strong analytical skills with ability to assess claims, variations, and contractual risks.Ability to manage multiple contracts across different projects simultaneously.
