Ennismore is a joint venture with Accor, founded in 2021.And now, Hyde is making its big debut in Mexico bringing the music and festival spirit to Mexico City.Job DescriptionAs Controller, you’ll partner closely with the General Manager, Ownership and Leadership team to deliver exceptional financial performance, ensure compliance, and support sustainable growth. This role is perfect for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and brings a strategic yet hands-on approach.Duties & Functions:Lead the finance function across all hotel operations (rooms, food & beverage, events, and more).Provide financial insights and recommendations to support commercial decision-making.Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and monthly reporting.Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, internal controls, and company policies.Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.Partner with department heads to maximize revenue, manage costs, and drive profitability.Fully responsible for all activities of entire accounting staff who are responsible for Payroll, GL, AP, ARResponsible for all tax filings with regulatory agenciesEnsures adequate coverage for the Financial Accounting teams; oversees the supervision of staff, including work allocation, scheduling, training and problem resolutionOn a monthly basis, reviews all expenditures, financial reports and other information provided to department heads to ensure accuracy including balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations by accountOn a monthly basis, participates in the month end process of reviewing preliminary financial statements with department heads and resolves any unknown or unexplained items, acting as a liaison between accounting and departments headsEnsures company expenditure disbursements comply with company policies and have been authorized and classified correctlyLiaisons with IT to resolve any system problems related to financial systemsCoordinates activities with external and internal auditorsConducts internal audits of data to ensure accuracy and integrityEstablishes, or recommends to management, major financial objectives and policies for the hotel. Keeps leadership and other departments informed of status of activities and of significant events and problems by attending meetings, submitting reports, and meeting individually as necessaryAny other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or managerWe recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service.
