Job Title: Controller Reporting to: CFOLocation: Woodbridge, CanadaAbout the Role:Kingsdown Canada is seeking an experienced and hands-on Controller to oversee all accounting and finance operations. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and provide strategic financial insights to support business growth and operational efficiency.What You’ll Do:Oversee and manage all accounting and finance operational activitiesEnsure accurate and timely preparation of financial reporting in accordance with ASPE, including journal entry and balance sheet reconciliation reviewComplete monthly consolidation processesAnalyze actual results against budget, forecast, and prior yearLead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting effortsComplete quarterly bank and parent company reportingManage audit and corporate tax filingsComplete US government reporting as requiredMaintain, develop, and strengthen internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risksManage and develop staff to meet organizational objectivesPartner with executive leadership to provide financial insights that drive business decisions and performance improvementLead or support software upgrades, integrations, and automation initiativesEnsure data integrity across accounting and operational systemsDevelop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performanceEnsure compliance with all regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements across jurisdictionsCollaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, HR, and IT to align financial objectives with organizational goalsPerform additional duties as requiredWho You Are:CPA with a Bachelor’s in Accounting or FinanceMinimum 2 years’ experience as a Controller or Accounting ManagerExperienced in multi-currency consolidations, intercompany transactions, and manufacturing environmentAdvanced Excel skills (V-lookup, pivot tables, complex formulas, etc.)Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsHands-on, proactive, and comfortable working cross-functionallyExperience with US government reporting (corporate tax, sales and use tax, Census reports) – is nice to have Why You’ll Love It Here:Be part of a collaborative, growth-focused teamLead initiatives that make a real business impactOpportunity to mentor and grow your team What’s in It for You:Earn a competitive salary and discretionary bonus3 weeks vacation to enjoy life outside of work3% RRSP matching to help you plan for the futureFull benefits after 90 daysCPA dues paid — because we care about your professional growth
