Role Description This is a temporary on-site role for a Cook, based in Johannesburg. The Cook will be responsible for preparing a variety of South African-inspired dishes, adhering to the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and presentation. Daily tasks include prepping, cooking, and plating meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, managing ingredients inventory, and working collaboratively within the culinary team. The role requires delivering exceptional guest experiences through creative and flavorful cuisine. Qualifications Proficiency in cooking techniques, food preparation, and South African cuisine.Knowledge of kitchen safety, hygiene regulations, and inventory management processes.Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment and adapt to culinary adjustments as needed.Time management and multitasking skills to ensure timely preparation and delivery of dishes.Passion for food, creativity in developing recipes, and attention to food presentation.Formal culinary training or certification is an advantage but not required.Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred.
