We offer generous benefits, personal and professional growth opportunities, and a supportive work environment where your contributions can directly impact advancing childhood cancer research and improving care and treatments for brave children fighting cancer.If you're ready to join a dynamic team that thrives on personal growth and making a real impact, we invite you to apply for this position today.The Opportunity:Reporting to the Senior Director of Patient and Family Services, the Patient and Family Services Coordinator is responsible for supporting all aspects of patient and family support programs with an emphasis on managing our financial assistance programs. General Responsibilities: Support and maintain the vision, mission, priorities, and guiding principles of CURE, as established by the Board of Directors. Understand the strategic direction and purpose of CURE and conform to the stated strategies and business needs.Specific Responsibilities:Manage applications for financial assistance submitted from social workers on behalf of families with a child battling cancer in accordance with CURE’s guidelines.Maintain accurate records and financials regarding budgets and communicate with social workers on how they are trending in their budgets throughout the year, including documenting in Raiser’s Edge patient information in a timely mannerOutside State of Georgia – handle applications as submitted from external social workers if budget is availableTrack and provide monthly reporting to Georgia hospitals regarding utilized budget and balances remainingManage fund and process applications (from all Georgia hospitals) for families needing overnight lodgingEstablish and maintain relationships with partner hotels Visit the outpatient clinics 1x per week in an effort to foster/deepen the connection with patient families. Serve Open Arms meals as needed to patient families who are inpatientHelp maintain the Patient and Family Services room, including but not limited to the receiving of donations, organizing, and keeping the room efficientAssist with the planning and implementation of Patient and Family Services team’s events, including but not limited to the Holiday Party, Summer Party, and our Bereavement Programs (Annual weekend of Hope and Healing and Legacy of Love Day)Provide support and attend CURE’s three signature events, The Believe Ball, Quiet Heroes, and Lauren’s Run and Picnic, as well as Childhood Cancer Awareness month in September, in addition to other events that might come up throughout the yearPerform all other job-related duties as requested by the Board of Directors, the CEO, and/or the Patient and Family Services team  QualificationsCollege degree requiredExcel experience requiredExperience with online payment applications (FormDr online application experience preferred)3-5 years of experience working with budgets, tracking financials, and reporting balancesRaisers Edge experience preferredExtreme attention to detailStrong initiativeAbility to listen and provide empathetic responses to patients and familiesAbility to meet strict deadlines and outstanding organizational skills, and ability to multitaskGenuine empathy for childhood cancer patients and their families, showing warmth and hospitality to all Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work in a collaborative, inclusive environment where teamwork is expected, and willingness to take direction as well as maintain a positive attitudeStrong display of personal qualities such as integrity, authenticity, and humility, in addition to a strong belief in CURE’s mission and goalsBilingual is a plusCURE Childhood Cancer provides a competitive salary and benefits.
