Role: CopywriterLocation: Chester (Hybrid)Position: Full-time or Part-time consideredSalary: Dependent on ExperienceStart Date: ASAPWe’re looking for a talented and versatile Copywriter to join the Stride team.You’ll be responsible for developing compelling, distinctive and strategic written content across a wide range of client sectors. Projects will be varied, ranging from brand positioning and tone of voice guidance to website copy, campaign messaging, journal articles and ads.This is a role for someone who loves words, understands how brands communicate and can effortlessly adapt their writing style to different audiences, platforms and personalities. You’ll work closely with our design and digital teams to ensure messaging and creative direction always align.Applicants must have experience working within a creative, branding or digital agency environment.About StrideWe’re a full-service design studio in Chester specialising in branding, web design and marketing.Our small but highly creative team partners with a wide range of local businesses. helping them tell their story through thoughtful, impactful design.We’re relationship-driven, detail-focused, and genuinely care about the people we work with - both our clients and our team.ResponsibilitiesDevelop brand positioning, values, tone of voice guidance, messaging frameworks, brand summaries and straplines.Craft clear, engaging copy across multiple sectors and audiences.Write website content, both full sites from scratch and enhancing existing sites.Produce SEO-friendly copy that reads naturally and aligns with each client’s established voice.Write content for Mailchimp campaigns, journal articles, print ads, social content and other marketing collateral.Work closely with our design team and Digital Marketing Manager to create targeted content for Google Ads and social advertising.Translate strategic ideas into strong, creative written executions.Collaborate directly with clients to understand their brand, tone and messaging needs.Manage your workload efficiently across different projects and deadlines.About YouMinimum 2 years’ experience in a creative, branding or digital agency.Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.Ability to switch seamlessly between different tones of voice and brand personalities.Strong understanding of SEO principles and keyword placement.A strategic thinker who can translate brand insights into compelling messaging.Comfortable developing long-form and short-form content across multiple platforms.Excellent communication and organisation skills.A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.A genuine interest in branding, creativity and good design.Benefits27 days holiday plus bank holidays, with an additional day’s holiday for each year of employment (up to 35 days)Pension schemeCycle to Work schemeCompetitive salaryFlexitime scheduleWhy work at Stride?Stride Inspiration Days: Every quarter, take a day off to travel somewhere in the UK for creative inspiration, whether it’s visiting an art exhibition, attending a lecture, or exploring a cultural eventWork on meaningful and rewarding projects for diverse clientsEnjoy direct client interaction and the chance to shape dynamic brandsWork with a supportive and creative teamBe part of a studio that values personal growth, flexibility, and work-life balanceTo apply:Send your CV and a short intro to wendy@stridestudio.co.uk - we’d love to hear from you.
