We value kindness, positivity, and equal opportunities.We offer the right candidates an innovative, high-growth environment where they can learn, grow, and develop their career paths.THE ROLEWe are looking for a detail-oriented copywriter to write accurate, persuasive, informative and on-brand product copy for both printed collateral and digital channels.PURPOSE OF THE POSITIONTo ensure that our copy is consistent, accurate, persuasive, relevant and on-brand across all our customer touchpoints, particularly where it pertains to our products.SUCCESS OUTCOMES (FOR THE ROLE)Our copy is thoughtful, clever and original.The written information we put forward about our products and brand is always accurate and up-to-date.Our marketing and design teams are equipped with product copy that is thoroughly researched and relevant to the end consumer.The copy across our brochures, packaging, product sheets, website, email and social media is consistent.Our website copy is regularly audited and updated to ensure accuracy, consistency and discoverability (search).We take technical terms and make them simple for our customers to understand.We use words to highlight the quality, technicality, innovation and performance of our products.We persuade by highlighting the benefits of various product features in an original way.We unearth and highlight features and selling points that may not be immediately apparent.We work quickly and meticulously.We avoid unnecessary jargon.Our copy shows respect to the reader by being both truthful and concise.We take great care to ensure our product claims are true, provable and legally compliant.We regularly conduct consistency audits and update all documents and channels when new product information is communicated by the product team.We respect the brand tone and voice and writing style guide and write creatively within these guide rails.We build trust with our customers by ensuring our copy is always free of grammatical and stylistic errors.COMPETENCIES – ROLEDemonstrated ability to write about technical products (essential)Massive attention to detailProficiency in office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Strong organisational skillsClear communication skills (written and verbal)COMPETENCIES – CULTURALMust strive for high standards in everything.Must fully understand and buy in to our luxury branding strategy.Must understand that design in every detail is important to us.Must be hard working, diligent, resilient, resourceful, and efficient.Must be curious about the role and the company.Comfortable doing both high-level and low-level activities as and when required.Above all, must be KIND.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCERelevant tertiary qualification2-3 years’ experience in product copywritingThis is an ONSITE position, and you will be expected to come into our office/factory in Woodstock, Cape Town, for the majority of your working hours.Apply by sending your CV to jobs@fieldbar.com
