Senior Financial Accountant

An established and rapidly scaling industrial supplier in the fast food and retail sector is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team in Lanseria, Gauteng.The Senior Financial Accountant would play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, reconciliation of accounts, and effective payroll management in accordance with accounting standards and internal controls.Key Responsibilities:Full Trial Balance and General Ledger responsibility - journal processing, general ledger recons, etc.Analyse income statement reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure accurate classification and accounting.Payroll - review monthly payroll; process journals; reconcile to GL; ensure SARS compliance.Assist in the compilation of monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting.Assist with budgeting and forecasting.Fixed asset management (fixed asset register, etc.)Inventory - assist in monthly stocktakes; some minor BOM oversight.Qualifications and Experience:Professional certification in Accounting and Finance from a recognised professional body (PA(SA), CGMA, AGA(SA)) OR 10+ years of Financial Accounting and/or management experience within the commercial sector.Minimum +3 years of similar experience in a commercial setting.Experience using Sage 200 Evolution or similar is required.Salary:R600,000 - R720,000 CTC per annum (highly dependent on qualifications and experience.)
