The business operates a diverse portfolio of commercial activities and maintains a presence across several international locations.The Finance team is highly regarded for its technical capability and strong financial governance. Due to ongoing growth and increased reporting requirements, the organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Corporate Accountant with a strong statutory reporting background.The OpportunityReporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, this role plays a key part in the preparation, accuracy and delivery of statutory financial statements across the group. You will work closely with auditors, support annual audit processes, manage regulatory obligations and ensure robust financial controls across multiple domestic and international entities.While you will support broader corporate accounting activities, the core emphasis of this role is statutory reporting, technical accounting and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare annual statutory financial statements for a portfolio of group entities, across both local and international jurisdictionsSupport the annual audit process, including audit file preparation and resolving technical queries with external auditorsPrepare technical accounting papers and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirementsManage balance sheet reconciliations and contribute to financial control improvementsAssist with monthly and quarterly reporting requirementsSupport regulatory filings and other compliance obligationsContribute to board reporting and group disclosure processesAssist with process improvement and system efficiency initiativesProvide guidance to Assistant Accountants and collaborate with the wider Finance teamAbout YouExperience in statutory reporting, audit or financial reporting (typically 4+ years)Strong technical understanding of accounting standards and reporting requirementsTertiary qualifications in commerce, economics or financeCA or CPA (completed or in progress) preferredHigh attention to detail, strong analytical skills and comfort working with complex structuresConfident communicator with a collaborative approachExperience in multi entity environments or with audit clients with group structures is advantageousIf you are seeking a technically focused role with a strong emphasis on statutory reporting and governance, weave.
