We are looking for a professional with 2+ years of relevant experience to join our high-impact team in either San Francisco or New York.What you’ll doStripe Corporate Development is hiring a sharp, agile, and entrepreneurial Associate to support our growing M&A and venture efforts. This hybrid role is responsible for the full deal lifecycle, from sourcing and diligence on new investments to deal execution and hands-on operational support for our portfolio founders.This is a high-impact role for someone excited to learn every angle of corporate development—from venture investing to strategic M&A—at a fast pace. You’ll work directly with Corporate Development leadership and interface with some of the most exciting founders, executives, and companies in fintech and beyond.ResponsibilitiesConduct analysis of operating performance, lead market diligence, and prepare investment memosScreen and analyze inbound investment and M&A opportunities, synthesizing takeaways for the teamParticipate in founder meetings, providing critical notes and insightsAnalyze and recommend follow-on investment decisions by tracking portfolio performance and modeling return potentialSupport customer and expert diligence calls, summarizing key findingsServe as a key point of contact for founders, helping them navigate Stripe, make customer introductions, and connect with internal expertsTrack and report on portfolio company performance through quarterly updates and internal summariesHelp build our founder community by planning programs and events that convene portfolio companies, investors, and others in the ecosystemCollaborate cross-functionally with Stripe teams (Sales, BD, Product, etc.) to unlock value for the portfolioDevelop investment theses by researching and monitoring emerging trends and disruptive companiesSource new deal opportunities that align with our strategic prioritiesWho you areWe're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.Minimum RequirementsYou are a generalist athlete—equal parts analytical, operational, and communicativeYou have 2+ years of work experience in venture capital, investment banking, or management consultingYou possess excellent analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to think critically and creativelyYou are highly organized, responsive, and comfortable context-switching in a fast-paced environmentYou have strong business judgment and are eager to learn how great investment decisions are madeYou can work effectively on a global team, both in person and virtuallyYou are excited by Stripe’s mission and the opportunity to support category-defining foundersPreferred QualificationsPrior exposure to fintech, B2B SaaS, or infrastructure companiesExperience working directly with founders or startup executivesFamiliarity with Stripe products or APIsIn-office expectationsOffice-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in our Bucharest, Romania site have an 80% in-office expectation, and those in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico and Bengaluru, India work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.Pay and benefitsThe annual US base salary range for this role is $132,000 - $198,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
