We are invested in your long-term success and aim to equip you with skills and experiences that will fuel your future!About the opportunity:The Corporate Procurement Intern assists the Procurement department with tasks set out by various team members, such as research, data capturing, analysis support budgeting and estimation process and working closely with different team members to learn more about the company.The attributes we are looking for:Responsible for maintaining accuracy of the Purchasing database, including specifications, request for proposal (RFP), purchase price variance files, savings initiative files etc.Assist throughout the Request for Proposal (RFP) process by consulting with users to determine expectations, preparing RFP documents and performing RFP analysis.Assist throughout the budgeting process by gathering market intelligence, price list, and plant data.Support North American sourcing team with market analysis and sourcing initiatives.Support regional processes to ensure initiatives are on track.Assisting with procurement process mapping and analysis to determine efficient processes are in place.Assisting in the maintenance of the vendor quality data base.What you will bring:Currently pursuing a post-secondary degree/diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work within structured timelinesStrong orientation towards accuracy, quality and focus on detailsAble to work efficiently in a fast paced, team environment with a strong sense of urgency and understanding of prioritiesTeam player, understanding the needs, requirements and priorities of other functional groupsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsProficient with standard office computer technology such as Microsoft Office products and the Internet including advanced proficiency MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.What Lactalis will offer:Lactalis Canada believes in rewarding its students with the following student package:A competitive salary8% vacation payHealth & dental benefits starting day 1 (including coverage for vision, mental health practitioners, physiotherapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, naturopathy, and more!)A paid volunteer day to give back to your communityLearning and development opportunitiesSocial events with other studentsOpportunities to learn about different functions within our companyPotential for future full time permanent opportunities!Our ESG commitment:Our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) roadmap drives our sustainability mission.
