WBCP partners with best-in-class licensees globally on an award-winning range of Fashion, Home, FHB, Toys and Publishing inspired by franchises and properties such as DC, Looney Tunes and Harry Potter.With innovative global licensing and merchandising programs, retail initiatives, promotional partnerships and themed experiences, WBDCP is one of the leading licensing and retail merchandising organizations in the world.To be successful at WBDCP, you must have a willingness to model our values and behaviors, champion diversity and inclusion, leverage data and insights to maximize the legacy of our deep brands and franchises while maintaining a commitment to fostering best-in-class talent.JOB TITLE: Creative Associate – Project Base Hire (2-Year Fixed Term)             REPORTS TO: Director, Creative & Product DevelopmentYour New Role:The Creative Associate is responsible for leading the clearance process and organization of WB assets to help grow the CP business, with a focus on trading cards.Under the supervision of the Director, Creative & Product Development, this person will work with several intercompany stakeholders and licensees to oversee all stages of clearance from identifying merchandisable images to supervising required creative and legal modifications to uploads to the digital asset library.Job Responsibilities:Meets with internal & external business leads to understand product strategy and help deliver with asset needsGathers asset information and submits images through internal systems and departments to get multiple stakeholder approvalsManages upload into digital asset systems with appropriate metadata detailsAudits existing digital assets for removal or updatesUnderstands design, color, typography, production process, development timelines, and sample/final product executionFollows best practices implemented and shared across all areasManages and owns Creative PD process which includes but not limited to, communication and update with licensees, give design feedback, review product submissions, and legal clearanceEnsures all brand guidelines and legal guidelines for all artwork and product submissions are followed prior to upload in the digital systemCommunicates clearly and partners with all internal teams, ie. BA, franchise, legal, category, to ensure proper feedbackCreates and manages new editorial for product developmentWorks closely with Director, Creative & Product Development to find fresh, compelling designs and new ideas that meet the business needs and aligns with strategiesManages project timelines which includes but not limited to asset development, licensees feedback, and approvals reviewWork Experience:3-5 years’ experience in product design and or graphic designEducation:BA, BFA or 2 years Technical College in a design discipline preferredKnowledge/Skills:Ability to clearly communicate and present vision and ideasAbility to own and drive projects from beginning to endTeam player and collaborativeAbility to identify challenges and propose solutionsAbility to work under tight deadlinesMust be a self-starter with a tenacious attitude and a strong work ethicKnowledge/awareness of competitive businessesAdvanced skills working with Illustrator and Photoshop, and InDesignAdditional computer skills, include InDesign, Word, Excel and Power Point/KeynoteLicensing business model experience is a plusManagement has the right to add or change duties and job requirements at any time.How We Get Things Done…This last bit is probably the most important!
