Title: Criminal Investigator (Remote)Engagement: Hourly contract (independent contractor)Rate: USD 20-75/hourJob SummaryWe are seeking experienced Detectives and Criminal Investigators to contribute their expertise to AI training initiatives. In this remote role, you will apply real-world investigative knowledge to help develop and refine advanced AI systems designed to support digital investigations, case management, and crime scene analysis.Your hands-on experience with investigative procedures, evidence handling, and law enforcement technologies will directly inform the accuracy and effectiveness of next-generation investigative tools.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide subject matter expertise on investigative procedures, crime scene protocols, and evidence handlingReview and annotate investigative scenarios to support AI model training and evaluationDocument workflows related to interviews, evidence collection, reporting, and case file managementContribute insights into proper evidence preservation, chain-of-custody standards, and documentation practicesUtilize knowledge of law enforcement databases and digital tools to inform structured AI training datasetsEvaluate AI-generated investigative summaries, reports, or analyses for procedural accuracy and realismSupport digital image management and crime scene reconstruction review processesCollaborate with cross-functional technical teams to improve investigative model performanceRequired Skills and QualificationsProven experience as a Detective or Criminal Investigator in a law enforcement agencyStrong understanding of investigative protocols, evidence collection, and legal standardsExperience using NCIC and other law enforcement database systemsProficiency with tools such as Microsoft Access, MySQL, digital crime scene software, and GIS platforms (e.g., ESRI ArcView)Familiarity with digital image management, forensic graphics, or scene reconstruction toolsExceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive and confidential informationComfortable working independently in a remote environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience contributing to training programs, technical documentation, or policy developmentBackground in forensic technology or criminal justice educationPrior exposure to AI tools, data annotation, or digital investigative platformsAPPLY NOW!
