Cyber Security Specialist

Organization DescriptionMNCERT/CC coordinates with private sectors, Internet Service Providers, Banks, Mobile operation companies, Universities, other Mongolian CERTs, and the general public. The organization works collaboratively to ensure the cybersecurity and resilience of the digital infrastructure in Mongolia. MNCERT/CC plays a critical role in mitigating security threats and responding to cybersecurity incidents effectively.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Cyber Security Specialist, located in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and optimize security tools and processes to defend against cyber threats.Perform proactive security monitoring, detection, and analysis to identify and mitigate risks.Assist in the development of threat intelligence capabilities to detect and block emerging attack patterns.Assist in the detection, investigation, and mitigation of cybersecurity incidents.Monitor and analyze logs from security systems, networks, and endpoints to identify potential threats.Actively participate in the community engagements.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Strong knowledge of network protocols, encryption, and cybersecurity frameworks.Understanding of threat intelligence, and incident response.Familiarity with security tools (SIEM, firewalls, endpoint protection) and common attack vectors.Analytical skills with the ability to identify and respond to security threats.Passion for cybersecurity and a willingness to continuously learn and grow in the field.Industry certifications (e.g., OffSec, CompTIA) are a plus but not required.Skills & Attributes:Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.Proactive mindset with a desire to stay ahead of the curve in an ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape.How to Apply:If you are passionate about cybersecurity and ready to make a real impact in the fight against cyber threats, we want to hear from you!
