About The RoleCypris is looking for a detail-oriented and curious Research Analyst to join our growing Research Services team. In this role, you’ll work directly with innovation and R&D leaders to deliver strategic insights derived from global datasets including patents, scientific literature, company activity, and market trends.

You’ll play a consultative role supporting our customers through custom research projects while playing a key role in helping them understand emerging technologies, evaluate competitors, and making data-backed decisions around new product development and innovation strategy. In This Role, You WillConduct research and analysis across technical and commercial datasets (scientific papers, patents, market activity, product data sheets, company data, etc.

)Author custom reports and formulate insights for enterprise customers in collaboration with our Customer Success and Sales teamsIdentify trends in innovation activity, investment, and research within key technology areasWork cross-functionally to support product development and platform improvements by surfacing user feedback and unmet research needsTranslate complex technical data into clear, digestible insights for business and R&D stakeholdersContribute to the development of internal research methodologies and knowledge frameworksRequirementsA Key Candidate Will Have:

2–4 years of experience in a research, strategy, consulting, or analyst role (experience in innovation, R&D, or IP strategy is a plus)A strong analytical mindset and comfort working with both qualitative and quantitative dataExcellent writing and communication skills—you can distill complex findings into client-ready reportsFamiliarity with academic literature, patents, or technical datasetsProficiency with tools like Excel, Google Sheets, and research databases; bonus if you have experience with SQL, Python, or data visualization toolsA collaborative and proactive attitude with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced startup environment BenefitsThrough this role, you will get:

We also build custom reports for objective-oriented projects. Both can be included in one package. What does the interview process look like?The process depends on the role. For all positions, we like to start with a quick intro call just to make sure we're aligned.

From there, we typically do a longer (45min) call with one of our team members that can appropriately vet your skills & "speak your language" - on the engineering side, this might mean some technical questions, while on the sales side we ask you to build a quick presentation about yourself.
