Are you currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, IT, or engineering? Do you have a keen interest in coding and data analysis? We are #hiring a Data Analytics Student for a 4-month work term commencing May 2026, based out of our Calgary head office. If you are a proactive self-starter with experience in SQL, Python, and Power BI and have a strong initiative to learn and grow, we want to hear from you!You will support our team by examining information using data analysis tools. You will help identify key trends and challenges to drive important business decisions while contributing to high-impact projects, data mining, coding tasks, and cross-department collaboration. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop coding skills, work independently, and make measurable contributions through data-driven insights.What You Will Be DoingReview data and make actionable recommendations based on findingsIdentify potential issues or challenges with the company’s current business modelProvide backup administration support for reporting platforms such as Power BIAssist with data mining interpretation and coding-related tasksCoordinate research efforts, collect data, perform analysis, and develop results outputsContribute to high-visibility projects impacting top and bottom-line performanceSupport ad-hoc business projects demonstrating coding interest and problem solvingAssist other departments with coding data or analysis tasks as neededPerform other related duties, encouraging self-sufficiency and initiativeWhat We Would Like From YouCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, IT, or engineering with strong academic achievementSome previous technical experience coding in SQL / Python through school or workExperience with Power BI is considered a strong asset Highly analytical with a quantitative academic background and coding mindsetAbility to thrive in a fast-paced energetic office environment, managing multiple prioritiesExceptional attention to detail combined with discipline and self-motivation to learn coding independently as requiredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for effective data communicationExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings clearlyStrong work ethic, positive attitude, and eagerness to research and develop coding solutionsLocation and other key details: This is a 4-month temporary position commencing May 2026, based out of our Calgary head office: 5055 11th St NE, Calgary, AlbertaThe hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 40 hours per weekWhy BURNCO?
