You’ll design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, implement ETL processes, and ensure data quality and reliability across our infrastructure.You’ll collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data for analytics and decision-making. Experience with cloud platforms, large datasets, and real-time data processing is highly valued.This role offers excellent growth opportunities in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. You’ll work with modern data technologies, contribute to architecture decisions, and help shape the future of our data platform.As a Data Engineer, your responsibilities would typically be to:Building data pipelines: Creating automated systems to move and transform data from various sources.Managing data infrastructure: Designing, building, and maintaining databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.Ensuring data quality: Implementing processes to clean, validate, and maintain the accuracy and consistency of data.Optimizing for performance: Ensuring the data systems are scalable and efficient for handling large volumes of data.Making data accessible: Organizing data and creating schemas so that data scientists, analysts, and other users can access and query it easily. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering or a related technical field.A minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in data engineering, software development, or a related field is required.Advanced degrees or relevant certifications in data engineering, cloud platforms or big data technologies are highly valued.Strong proficiency in Python programming with demonstrated experience in data engineering contexts.Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases.Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform) and their data services.Proven experience in designing, building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data workflows.Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks such as Apache Hadoop, Spark, Kafka or Hive.Proficiency with Git version control system and collaborative development workflows.Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling, data warehousing principles and data lake architectures.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with additional programming languages such as Java or R that are commonly used in data engineering and analytics environments.Professional certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS Certified Data Engineer, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer or Microsoft Azure Engineer Associate.Experience in specific industry domains such as finance, healthcare, e-commerce or telecommunications with understanding of industry-specific data requirements and compliance standards.Experience mentoring junior developers or leading technical projects.Understanding of statistical concepts and experience working closely with data scientists and analysts.Required Skills:Technical Skills:Programming languages: Python is a top choice for data manipulation and pipelines, with Java and Scala also being important. Strong SQL skills are fundamental for querying and database management.Data warehousing and databases: Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL), NoSQL databases (MongoDB), and data warehousing concepts is crucial. Experience with designing schemas, normalization, and data modeling (like star and snowflake schemas) is also necessary.Big data technologies: Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks such as Hadoop and Apache Spark is essential for processing large datasets.Data pipelines: Ability to design and build end-to-end data pipelines is a core function.
