Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical company in Belgium. This organization plays a crucial role in both generic medicines and innovative healthcare products, continuously investing in growth and innovation.Your RoleAs a Data Engineer, you will design and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring that departments such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain have the right data at the right time. You will translate complex business needs into technical solutions, develop dashboards and reports, and automate repetitive processes to drive efficiency.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, test, and maintain data pipelines (ingestion, processing, analysis, and visualization)Take full ownership of your data projectsCollaborate with various departments to translate their needs into technical solutions and user-friendly BI toolsTransform data into visually appealing and insightful dashboards and reportsDrive innovation and automation to minimize manual processesSafeguard data quality and ensure reliable master dataProfileMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experienceExperience with SQL servers, data warehousing, and cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake)Strong knowledge of data modeling (star schema) and cloud architectureFamiliar with tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, and Power BISkilled in SQL and integration in ELT solutionsAble to work with multiple data sources: databases, APIs, SharePoint, JSON, csv/ExcelExperience combining data from multiple systems into a single trusted sourceUnderstanding of master data management and data quality principlesKnowledge of Databricks and Airflow is a plusExperience with SAP or MS Dynamics 365 is an advantageProactive, entrepreneurial, and capable of turning ideas into tangible resultsCurious about new technologies and eager to continuously learnFluent in English and Dutch or FrenchOfferA challenging role within an innovative and growing pharmaceutical companyThe opportunity to make an impact and contribute to the digital transformationA dynamic work environment with room for personal initiative and developmentInterested?
