Data Insights & Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and define reporting needs- Analyze policy, claims, premium, and customer data to identify trends and opportunities- Translate insights into clear, actionable business recommendations- Automate recurring reports and KPIs using SQL and BI tools- Build and maintain dashboards in Power BI, Metabase, and Excel- Conduct ad-hoc analysis on topics like loss ratios and customer churn- Support strategic initiatives including campaign performance and business case evaluations- Work closely with Data Engineers on data integration, flow, and quality- Contribute to predictive modeling and advanced analytics with senior analysts/data scientists- Uphold strong data governance practices, ensuring clean and consistent reportingQualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field- 2–3 years of experience in the insurance industry- Strong experience with Power BI, Metabase, and advanced Excel- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MSSQL)- Experience with Python for data automation/analysis is a plus- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills- Ability to tell stories with data—translating numbers into business value- Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices- Solid business acumen, especially in insurance KPIs and operations- Exposure to predictive analytics or working with data science teams is a strong advantage
