At Albany Beck, you’ll be choosing to work with an organisation that’s passionate about your learning journey and committed to your professional career and personal development.Role SummaryPlan, coordinate, and execute data migration activities across projects and programmes.Analyse source and target systems, mapping data and identifying transformation rules.Validate and reconcile migrated data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity.Work closely with business, technical, and testing teams to align migration requirements and schedules.Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-migration validation to confirm successful delivery.Maintain comprehensive migration documentation, including mapping specifications, test scripts, runbooks, and sign-offs.Track and escalate data-related risks, issues, and dependencies to the Project Manager or Steering Committee.Identify opportunities to improve data migration processes, tools, and methodologies.Ensure adherence to data governance, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.Provide post-migration support and knowledge transfer to business and operations teams.Keep specialist knowledge current and share insights on emerging data management and migration best practices.Key Experience – Data Migration Specialist3–5 years’ experience in data migration, data management, or technical project delivery, preferably within financial services.Working knowledge of Transfer Agency (TA) operations and systems is advantageous.Proven ability to work across and become proficient in multiple systems and databases.Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work to deadlines.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take ownership of issues from identification to resolution.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Advanced PC skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) and relevant data tools.Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).End-to-end understanding of project lifecycle and data migration methodology.Previous experience with data migration for new system implementations or upgrades.Relevant qualifications in Data Management, Business Analysis, or Project Delivery are desirable.
