Data Scientist

Job DescriptionThis is a remote position.Our focus is on developing the very best mobile and web applications and building long-term relationships with our clients. We are currently looking for a Data Scientist to add to our growing team.Key Responsibilities:Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure accuracy and usability for analysis and modeling.Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support data-driven decision-making.Build, train, and validate machine learning models and statistical algorithms to solve business problems or make predictions.Develop data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings clearly using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Plotly).Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, marketing, etc.) to understand business challenges and deliver actionable solutions.Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, both technical and non-technical.Optimize and monitor model performance, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and accuracy over time.Deploy machine learning models to production in collaboration with data engineers or ML engineers.Stay up-to-date with the latest data science tools, techniques, and industry trends.Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with regulations and ethical standards.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.Exceptional Python programming skills—you write clean, efficient, and production-ready code.Proven experience in developing and deploying optimization models in industrial settings.Strong hands-on experience with optimization models including MILP solvers (using OR-Tools, Gurobi, or similar.)Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.Solid understanding of MLOps and CI/CD pipelines, preferably in GCP (Vertex AI).Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.Experience building and maintaining REST APIs.Familiarity with DBT for data transformation.Comfortable working in Agile, cross-functional teams.Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in complex, ambiguous problem domain.Nice to Have:Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for deploying data or machine learning solutions.Knowledge of MLOps practices and tools for automating model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks.Contributions to open-source projects, research papers, or participation in data science competitions (e.g., Kaggle).BenefitsAbout Chromedia:Chromedia is a custom software development company based in Denver, Colorado, and Cebu Business Park in Cebu City.
