Job DescriptionTo plan, build, optimise and implement innovative quantitative analytical methodologies, procedures, products and advancedmathematical models that provide analytical support and interpret insights, using advanced analytics technologies, to address business opportunities and problems and implement business strategy.Develop innovative, fit-for-purpose advanced analytical solutions to improve business efficiency and outcomes.Manage the development and execution of capital and impairment strategies within the Home and Structured Lending portfolio, balancing risk and performance.Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and understand business problems, translate these into tangible models and translate technical outputs into business insights.Participate in specialist communities of practice and contribute positively to own and organisational knowledge improvement.Identify and commercialise untapped data opportunities to support strategic and revenue-generating initiatives.Build, document, validate, implement and maintain statistical models and applicable processes to address specific business requirements and ensure relevance and accuracy in evolving business contexts.Plan and perform regular model updates that capture evolving business complexity in current models.Challenge current models to ensure relevance and accuracy of outputs.Manage project deliverables and build cross-functional relationships to provide work support and ensure seamless stakeholder engagement.Apply mathematical and technical concepts to optimise predictive performance and efficiency.Contribute and adhere to model governance by providing input into localising policies and frameworks and ensuring ethical and privacy-compliant data usage.Productionize analytics within enterprise architecture and ensure high-quality, reliable data across the business.Support customer experience improvements through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.Create visualisations and reports for technical and non-technical audiences, enabling informed decision-making.Act as a subject matter expert, assist junior analysts, and contribute to knowledge-sharing communities.Ensure compliance with legislative, governance, and internal standards across all analytics activities and stay current with industry developments.Build collaborative relationships across departments to support operational delivery and strategic alignment.RequirementsCredit risk experience is essentialCapital Impairments experience is beneficial5-8 years' experience in a similar role requiredQualified Actuarial preferred or Mathematics and StatisticsStrong SAS skills required#post#fnbJob DetailsTake note that applications will not be accepted on the below date and onwards, kindly submit applications ahead of the closing date indicated below.25/11/25All appointments will be made in line with FirstRand Group’s Employment Equity plan.
