About the ProjectBe part of a newly established team within the Search department, driving innovation by adding a visual component to the consumer search experience. The team’s mission is to build prototypes and deliver a production-ready MVP for visual search capabilities.Your RoleAs a Data Scientist, you’ll focus on the design, training, and deployment of computer vision models that enable image-based search functionality. You’ll work closely with backend and mobile developers, as well as MLOps engineers, to ensure seamless integration within the existing platform ecosystem.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch, design, and develop computer vision and image retrieval modelsBuild end-to-end ML pipelines from data ingestion to production deploymentCollaborate with engineers to integrate models into production servicesPerform experimentation, evaluation, and optimization of visual modelsContribute to monitoring and maintenance of models in productionDocument research results and communicate findings to stakeholdersRequired Skills & Experience5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist (with focus on computer vision)Strong proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and OpenCVExperience with cloud ML environments (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable)Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD for ML workflowsProven track record of production deploymentsExperience with image feature extraction, similarity search, or embeddingsStrong communication and documentation skillsAgile working experience and problem-solving mindsetWhy Join?Contribute to a greenfield AI initiativeCollaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers and data scientistsShape the future of visual search experiences for millions of usersThis is a 12 months contract + extension
