This modern SaaS platform is backed by top-tier institutions and expanding rapidly across APAC, the US, and beyond!As a Data Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming how clients onboard and operate through data. The platform is scaling rapidly, and your work will be integral to building a high-performance, AI-augmented data engine that supports scalable, repeatable implementation processes. You will collaborate with Implementation and Customer Success teams to develop robust data workflows that streamline how client data moves from legacy systems into the platform.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, tech-driven environments and wants to shape the operational backbone of a company undergoing rapid growth. You’ll work with automation-first principles, help establish tooling that scales across hundreds of clients, and contribute directly to building a next-gen data engine that enables the implementation pipeline to operate like a production line.What we’re looking for:2+ years of experience in data migration or data engineering, ideally in a SaaS or high-growth environment focused on scale and automation.Proficiency in SQL and Python is essential.Strong understanding of data structures, legacy systems, and a range of data formats and ETL concepts.Experience collaborating with technical teams to build repeatable workflows and with implementation/customer teams to deliver high-quality migrations.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially under time constraints.A process-oriented mindset with a passion for efficiency, automation, and high-volume data operations.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.What you'll doWork with Implementation and Customer Success to understand client requirements and execute migration plans tailored to each onboarding.Validate, clean, and transform legacy datasets for ingestion into the platform, ensuring completeness and fidelity.Partner with technical teams to productise and scale migration tooling, templates, and processes that enable rapid, reliable client onboarding.Identify repetitive tasks and build automation to improve throughput and reduce manual load.Maintain internal knowledge bases and documentation to enable consistent execution and future-proof the data migration pipeline.Continuously contribute insights from data migration work into broader data tooling and automation frameworks—so future implementations become faster, more accurate, and more autonomous.Benefits:Comprehensive health insurance with Southern Cross (a rare startup benefit!)Premium office space with luxury fit-out and water views, located near Auckland’s best bars and cafes.Workstation package including MacBook Pro, dual screens, Apple peripherals, and AirPods Pro noise-cancelling headphones.Unlimited sick leave.Generously annual leave and extended maternity/paternity leave.If this role sounds like you, apply now!
