As an Assistant Designer at Daze Denim, you’ll be an integral part of our creative team—bringing fresh denim styles to life through compelling sketches, precise CADs, and detailed tech packs. You’ll support every step of the design journey, from inspiration board to photo-ready sample. What You’ll Do: Design Development SupportAssist in creating detailed sketches, CADs, tech packs, and construction pages that bring each denim silhouette to life—capturing the essence of Daze’s signature fits and finishes.
Visual Line Sheets & Design BoardsMaintain accurate and up-to-date visual line sheets (WIP) and design boards, incorporating feedback from fittings and design meetings to reflect the most current product direction. Fit Session Participation & UpdatesAttend all fittings and take thorough, organized notes. Translate feedback into design updates, ensuring all construction and fit changes are properly documented and implemented. Meeting Prep & Sample CoordinationPartner with cross-functional team members to prep for key meetings—retrieving, organizing, and tracking samples, swatches, and techniques to support smooth presentations.
Sample & Swatch OrganizationKeep the design studio running like a well-oiled machine by organizing samples, trims, strike-offs, and lab dips for easy access and reference. Photo Shoot Prep & SupportManage sample prep for photoshoots—from organizing and steaming wardrobe to setting up on set—ensuring product is presented in its best light and aligned with the brand aesthetic. WIP + Delivery TrackingStay fully in the loop on product deliveries and seasonal timelines, updating visual WIP reports and maintaining the sample rack to keep everything aligned, accessible, and on track. What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in design or similar, with 1+ year experience in denim/apparel design is preferredProficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, and familiarity with PLM systemsStrong understanding of denim construction—rises, leg openings, rigid/flex fabrics, wash techniques is preferredOrganized, detail-driven, and able to juggle multiple timelines and deliverablesCollaborative spirit, ready to roll up sleeves with cross-functional teams and studio partners
