Deep Learning Research EngineerLocation: Paris area (Hybrid / Remote flexibility)Salary: €60,000 – €80,000 A rapidly growing AI company is seeking a Deep Learning Research Engineer to help advance their computer vision and re-identification systems used across large-scale real-world environments. This is a hands-on research and development role that bridges academic innovation with production deployment, offering significant technical ownership and long-term impact. The Role:Develop and improve deep learning models for detection, tracking, and re-identification tasks.Research new architectures, training methods, and data processing techniques.Prototype and evaluate ideas from cutting-edge computer vision papers.Collaborate with C++ and engineering teams to transition R&D models into production.Optimise inference pipelines for speed, scalability, and robustness. Skills & Experience:Master’s degree or PhD in Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or a related field.3+ years of experience in applied deep learning (academic or industrial).Strong Python development skills, with experience using PyTorch or TensorFlow.Solid grounding in mathematics for machine learning (linear algebra, optimisation, statistics).Familiarity with modern data science and image processing tools (OpenCV, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn).Ability to translate research insights into efficient, maintainable code.
