The TeamDeloitte’s Information Technology Services department is looking for an additional team member to join the infrastructure team which provides support for servers and network. Daily activities include monitoring of network, backups, proactive optimisation of network performance and other related hardware and software.
The team is quality-centric and is focused on delivering timely support to ensure no disruption in service delivery of business teams. There is a great emphasis on collaboration to effectively achieve goals and produce significant results. As a new team member, you shall be called to participate actively in monitoring and troubleshooting sessions with the local IT team and vendor and assist in the day to day running of the IT department to ensure quality service to our end-users.
Work you will doInstall, configure, and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, firewalls, Wireless controllers, load balancers and SDWAN technologiesMonitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
Ensure network security and connectivityMaintain and administer firewalls, VPNs, and other security measuresTroubleshoot network issues and perform network recovery and backup proceduresCollaborate with vendors and global teams to optimize network performanceDocument network problems and resolutions for future referenceStay current with network technology trends and best practicesWork with vendors to ensure successful project deliveryFollow change management procedures and other ITIL processesProfileBachelor’s Degree from a reputed instituteProven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar roleIn-depth knowledge of network infrastructure, architecture, connectivity, and securityHands-on experience with network hardware (e. g.
, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, FortiGate)Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e. g. , Nagios, SolarWinds, ThousandEyes)Strong troubleshooting and analytical skillsCustomer service skills, strong work ethicsGood communication and problem-solving skills, willingness to learn new technologiesSkills in basic project management such as Work Planning, Execution, Tracking, follow-up, etc. Experience in Vendor managementRelevant certifications (e. g. , CCNA, CCNP) are required.
