Dental Hygienist - Health Care

Key Responsibilities Conduct oral health assessments and examine teeth and gums. Perform scaling, polishing, and other dental cleaning procedures. Take and process dental X-rays. Apply fluoride, sealants, and other preventive treatments. Educate patients on brushing, flossing, and proper oral hygiene. Maintain and update patient dental records. Sterilize dental instruments and follow infection control protocols. Assist the dentist during procedures when required. Monitor periodontal health and perform periodontal charting. Provide post-treatment instructions and oral care advice to patients. Ensure clinic cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards are met.Requirements Certificate in Dental Science (Dental Hygiene) Knowledge of dental instruments, cleaning techniques, and oral hygiene procedures. Ability to take and interpret dental X-rays. Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols. Good communication and patient education skills. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in clinical tasks.
