Job Description
We’re looking for a Founding Designer to help define what the next decade of non-invasive brain interfaces will look and feel like. This role sits at the intersection of design, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence, where your work will directly shape how humans interact with machines and, ultimately, themselves.You’ll collaborate closely with our AI researchers and hardware engineers to invent fundamentally new modes of interaction. You’ll explore how patients experience software, how devices communicate agency, and how our hardware systems look, feel, and integrate into people’s lives.We’re building the bridge between thought and action. This will be the most important and exciting work you’ll ever do. You’ll have creative freedom to design things that truly matter.What You’ll Do:Design next-generation interfaces for brain–computer interaction across software and hardwareDefine visual and experiential identity for Synaptrix products, from patient-facing apps to medical-grade systemsWork side-by-side with neuroscientists and engineers to translate complex neural data into intuitive experiencesPrototype and test interaction models that feel natural, human, and aliveShape our brand’s creative direction and design philosophy from the ground upWho You AreA visionary designer with a deep portfolio that shows range and originalityExperienced in UI/UX, product, or industrial design (hardware/industrial design experience is a plus)Able to think across the physical and digital (interfaces, form factors, and emotion)Hungry to work on hard, meaningful problems with a team that deeply cares about its missionBased full-time in NYC or willing to relocateHow to ApplySend only your portfolio link (no resumes or cover letters )to careers@synaptrix-labs.com.If your work speaks for itself, we’ll reach out.
