You light the way.What You’ll DoTranslate customer requirements into functional specifications (mechanical related)Define the mechanical design based on the functional specification in cooperation with system engineers, electronic engineers, thermal engineer, process engineer and safety engineerApply design principles for cost, performance, manufacturability (parts making and assembly), heat management, packing, compliance with internal and external standardsUse tool (like UG) to design the mechanical structure, include electronic components design.Knowledgeable about materials (plastics, metal, die-casting, ceramic, thermal material, and etc.) properties and supplierDesign and adaptation for fast-prototype for verification of concept and/or build up demonstrationKnowledgeable of tooling and process (injection molding, die casting, stamping, and etc.)Deliver design drawings (2D, 3D) and other mechanical documents (BOM, dimension measurement solution, 110sheet) per request of project manager, purchasing and marketingRelease mechanical parts together with tooling for product, process, and production releaseApply agreed procedures of project managementSupport process engineer, development quality engineer and supplier quality engineer to solve problem once requestActively participate in Mechanical Competence meeting to share learning, discuss issues, and work on long term programScout for new material, component, technology, supplier for better quality, lower cost and new featureGenerate innovative ideas/IPs together with other colleagues to help Philips build up strong position in SSL businessWhat You’ll NeedBSc/MSc in ME, preferably more than 5 years of practical experience.The candidate has a mechanical back-ground with knowledge of material properties, tooling and has demonstrated a great drive for getting things done, on-time.The candidate should be familiar with mechanical design software, like UG.The candidate should be familiar with development quality tools to ensure the quality of design.Good command of the English language in both speaking and writing is a must.Sense of urgency and high resilience levelStrong execution and ability of driving for resultAbility to work under stress and ambiguityBusiness travel is necessary to support Engineering Sample Run, 1st mechanical part injection, stamping…, potential/existing vendor evaluation, and others if anOur candidate profile is just a guide.
