You light the way.More About The RoleAs an Optical Engineer you’ll be responsible for driving innovations and the product development of professional lighting luminaires such as sports lighting, road lighting, flood lighting and industry lighting. Openness and conscientiousness must be in your DNA.Optical designClose teamwork with marketing and deep understanding of lighting applications and ability to translate Marketing requirements to Lighting application requirement and then to Optical requirements.Design of LED based optical systems for lighting purpose, both reflective and refractive.Good knowledge of optical materials (transmitting, reflecting and diffusive) and coatings (reflective, anti-UV ...).Modelling, optimizing and tolerancing complex lighting systems using one of the basic optical design software tools (Lightools preferred, others will be considered).Optical manufacturing & testingDefinition and implementation of optical testing plan with a hands-on approach (preparing prototypes and performing optical tests).Knowledge of basic instruments used in lighting (Gonio-photometer, lux-meter, lux-meter, luminance-meter, ...)Ability to develop her/his own tools for specific purpose, if required.Good knowledge of manufacturing processes (lenses and reflectors)Knowledge of lighting products manufacturing processesProject management & LeadershipLeads the advanced development project teams.Reports efficiently and adapts her/his communication to stakeholdersParticipates in defining technical roadmaps and competencies development plans.More About YouWhile we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:Master’s degree or above in Optical Engineering.5 years+ optical design experience in lighting and preferably LED-based.Result-driven and open-minded individual able to interact in a global organization.Fluent in English and Mandarin.Everything we’ll do for youYou can grow a lasting career here.
