We are committed to advancing housing stability, wellness, and long-term support through dignified, holistic care.Position OverviewThe Development Manager plays a hands-on role in advancing Status: Home’s fundraising efforts by supporting individual giving, donor stewardship, and campaign execution. This position offers meaningful responsibility, close collaboration with senior leadership, and the opportunity to build strong fundraising skills within a stable, mission-driven organization.This role is well-suited for a development professional with foundational experience who is ready to grow, take ownership of projects, and contribute to scalable fundraising systems.Key ResponsibilitiesIndividual Giving and StewardshipManage and grow individual donors under $5,000, including retention, upgrades, acquisition, and re-engagementPlan and execute bi-annual fundraising campaigns such as Year-End and Giving TuesdayPrepare donor research, meeting materials, and stewardship follow-up to support major donor cultivationManage donor acknowledgments, recognition, and ongoing stewardship touchpointsSupport and grow donor giving societies and related engagement opportunitiesEvents and Campaign ExecutionAssist with planning and execution of fundraising and stewardship eventsSupport sponsorship fulfillment, silent auctions, raffles, and corporate engagement eventsAssist with vendor coordination, logistics, timelines, and guest experienceCapture and share donor engagement stories and event contentCRM and Database ManagementServe as primary administrator for Virtuous CRMMaintain accurate donor records, segmentation, reporting, and data integrityCreate dashboards and reports to track donor activity and campaign performanceSupport donor journey mapping and automated workflowsCorporate and Community EngagementJointly cultivate and steward corporate partners with internal team leadsCollaborate to convert volunteer groups, ERGs, and community partners into donor prospectsCoordinate with the Institutional Giving Manager on corporate proposals and partnershipsCommunications and StorytellingDraft donor-facing communications including appeals, acknowledgments, talking points, and event materialsIncorporate program success stories into donor communicationsSupport email, print, and digital fundraising outreachProspect ResearchConduct research on individual, corporate, and community prospectsPrepare donor profiles and background materials for leadership and board membersSupport pipeline development and identification of new funding opportunitiesMinimum QualificationsEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree required; degrees emphasizing writing or communications preferredThree to five years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, events, or communicationsExperience working with donors, volunteers, or community partnersExperience with donor CRM systems; Virtuous experience is a plusSkills and AbilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and project management abilitiesCollaborative and relationship-driven work styleComfortable presenting to donors, volunteers, and community groupsKnowledge and CompetenciesUnderstanding of donor engagement and stewardship best practicesWillingness to learn issues affecting individuals and families impacted by HIV/AIDSCommitment to equity, inclusion, and dignity-centered serviceWhy Join Status: HomeJoin a respected, legacy nonprofit with a clear mission and proven community impactBe part of a team focused on building smart, sustainable fundraising systems — not putting out firesWork closely with senior leadership in an organization that values strategy, clarity, and collaborationOpportunity to grow your skills in individual giving, stewardship, and donor engagementOpportunity to own and improve processes, not just maintain themA values-driven workplace centered on dignity, equity, and long-term solutionsOther RequirementsAbility to pass a criminal background checkAlignment with Status: Home’s mission and valuesSalary Range$75,000 - $85,000/year
