DevOps Engineer

Hiring: DevOps Engineer (Hybrid) – Based in ZamalekWe are looking for a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team. If you are passionate about cloud architecture, automation, and building scalable infrastructure, this role is for you. This position follows a hybrid work model and is located in Zamalek.About The RoleAs a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that support high availability, scalability, and performance. You will collaborate closely with development teams, ensure smooth release cycles, and contribute to building a strong DevOps culture across the organization.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, VPC, CloudFront, RDS, and IAM.Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployments across multi-environment setups.Monitor performance, uptime, and security using CloudWatch and other observability tools.Ensure secure IAM policies, secrets management, and access control.Collaborate with software teams to streamline releases and improve deployment efficiency.Conduct incident response, perform root-cause analysis, and lead post-mortems.Continuously optimize cloud costs, performance, and reliability.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of hands-on DevOps experience, primarily with AWS environments.Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).Proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting.Solid understanding of Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS preferred).Ability to design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures.Excellent troubleshooting skills for distributed systems.Familiarity with Agile methodologies.🛠 Skills & TechnologiesCore Expertise:AWS cloud architectureCI/CD engineeringInfrastructure automationIaC (Terraform / CloudFormation)Docker & container orchestrationCloud security & governanceMonitoring & alertingFocused Tech Stack:AWS: EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, VPC, CloudFront, Route53, RDS, IAM, Secrets ManagerCI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub ActionsIaC: Terraform, CloudFormationMonitoring: CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana (optional), ELKScripting: Bash, PythonNetworking: VPC, subnets, SGs, ALB/NLB
