DevOps Lead – AWS, Kubernetes & Terraform

About the RoleWe’re looking for a seasoned DevOps Lead to architect and scale cloud infrastructure powering platforms with 500,000+ active users. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership across AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform. You’ll lead global incident response efforts, drive automation, and ensure infrastructure resilience in high-demand environments.Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Leadership: Architect and manage scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on AWS using Kubernetes.Terraform Pipeline Ownership: Design and maintain advanced Terraform pipelines for infrastructure provisioning, modularization, and lifecycle automation.Incident Management: Lead P1 and P2 incident response across global ESR, Level 2, and Level 3 support teams, ensuring rapid resolution, coordination, and post-incident analysis.Autoscaling Expertise: Implement and optimize Karpenter for dynamic, cost-efficient node provisioning in Kubernetes clusters.CI/CD Strategy: Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines.Monitoring & Observability: Deploy and manage tools like Datadog and CloudWatch to ensure performance and reliability.Security & Compliance: Enforce best practices in cloud security, IAM policies, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOC2).Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud spend across services and environments.Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product, and QA teams to align infrastructure with business goals.Required QualificationsProven experience supporting high-volume platforms with 500,000+ active users or more.7+ years of hands-on DevOps experience, including leadership of global teams.Deep expertise in AWS services (EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).Advanced proficiency in Kubernetes (preferably EKS) in production environments.Guru-level hands-on experience with Terraform, including modules, workspaces, remote state, and pipeline integration.High proficiency in Karpenter managed EKS servicesStrong background in P1/P2 incident response, escalation workflows, and coordination across distributed support teams.Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration best practices.Solid understanding of networking, security, and performance tuning in cloud-native environments.Preferred QualificationsAWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and Kubernetes operators.Familiarity with GitOps workflows.Basic understanding of AI concepts and how they integrate with cloud infrastructure.Background in SRE or platform engineering.What We OfferCompetitive salary and performance bonusesCollaborative and growth-oriented team culture.Learning & development budgetOpportunity to shape infrastructure strategy for a high-growth product
