Job Description

FWI is building a team to support Puerto Rico Department of Housing (PRDOH) Communication Services program for the Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and Community Development Block Grant for Mitigation (CDBG-MIT). The Digital Copywriter / Content Creator will develop project briefs, write engaging content for multiple digital platforms, and provide diverse digital content including images and video to support client objectives.FWI has been recognized as a Top Workplace by the Washington Post in 2024 and 2025, offering excellent growth opportunities in a collaborative environment.Position is contingent upon contract award**Work Schedule and LocationHybrid This full-time hybrid position will work Monday through Friday,8am to 5pm, with some onsite work in San Juan, Puerto Rico.Liaise with client from concept to completionDevelop project scoping and create clear briefs to ensure the client needs are being projected, suit the content and styles of the writings according to the client's purposeUnderstand the targeted audience to write something that will interest them, identify key messages that will help communicate the emotion you want the reader to feel, work collaboratively with other departments and creative teams to ensure that the visuals elements of the content complement the client's visionResearch and educate about the client's industry and their audience, identify fresh and interesting information for the content, write for webpages, podcasts, blogs, social media, e-books, slogans, videos, webinars, and many othersProvide a wide range of digital content such as images, video, and others at requestWork in collaboration with your team members and other agencies to review the impact of your workRequiredBachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a relevant field4+ years of experience in a related fieldIT skills and understanding of HTML or WordPress among othersCreative thinking, strong listening, and interpersonal skills, understanding of what the client wants and effectively develop project briefsExcellent writing abilities in different styles and to other people's direction, good research and analytical skills, organizational abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlinesAbility to work independently and flexibility, attentive to detail to proofread, understanding of digital marketing and search engine optimization (SEO)Creative approach to come up with new ideas for projects and for getting a message across innovativelyExcellent verbal and writing skills in both Spanish and EnglishFWI is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vets.
