About the role The Direct Tax Analyst plays a pivotal role in the transformation process by demonstrating accountability for the transfer of knowledge related to in-scope market processes. Additionally, the analyst contributes to enhancing service delivery through simplification, standardization, elimination of redundant steps, consolidation, and continuous improvement. This role applies a strong foundation of tax process expertise across multiple markets, leveraging professional concepts and theoretical knowledge gained through specialized training, education, or relevant prior experience in delivering service solutions. The analyst exercises independent judgment to navigate a dynamic environment and respond effectively to evolving circumstances. They also develop practical knowledge and expertise in the use of applications within the business context. What you’ll do Conducts statutory accounting analysis for tax purposes to ensure alignment with established accounting principles. Analyzes data extracted from the ERP system to provide accurate and high-quality information for tax and financial statement compliance. Develop a solid understanding of tax and financial processes to support informed decision-making and propose efficient workflows. Provides timely visibility into potential issues to ensure proper preparation and on-time delivery of responsibilities, following the established escalation path. Manages deliverables efficiently by demonstrating strong planning and organizational skills. Prepares and files low, medium, and high complexity tax returns and financial statements, including federal, state, and local filings. Assists junior analysts in preparing dormant or low complexity returns. Prepares and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect legal updates, process changes, and special situations. Promotes and contributes to process improvements through standardization and automation initiatives. Supports audit processes by reviewing documentation, preparing supporting materials, and responding to auditor inquiries. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of evolving tax and financial legislation and engages in continuous professional development in tax and accounting. Assists the team in preparing reports, briefs, projects, and other deliverables as needed. Supports knowledge transfer to new team members, ensuring a clear understanding of workflows and process execution. What you’ll bring Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. Basic understanding of direct tax and accounting processes, as well as financial statement analysis. English B2+ Problem-solving and analytical skills. Process improvement mindset. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
