Lourdes Hill College is a leading Catholic girls’ school with a proud heritage of educating young women in the Good Samaritan and Benedictine tradition. The Principal is seeking to appoint an exceptional senior leader to the newly created position of Director – Business Operations and Finance.This unique role within the secondary education sector is a rare opportunity to work closely with the Principal to elevate the College’s strategic capability, strengthen long-term planning, and establish a strong foundation for future growth using your diverse skills and experience.The OpportunityYou will lead several key operational portfolios and play a pivotal role in strengthening the College’s financial, operational, and governance maturity. As a member of a collaborative leadership team, you will be entrusted to make a meaningful and lasting contribution to the College community through the strategic advice and commercial recommendations you make.In the first 12 months, the focus will be on:Building a deep understanding of the College’s operational landscape and developing trusted relationships with the Principal, Board, Good Samaritan Education, staff and community.Enhancing financial governance and reporting whilst continuing to implement long-term financial models that align with master planning and demographic trends.Improving governance, compliance, and Secretariat processes to deliver clear accountability and reporting.Enhancing asset lifecycle management and progressing key capital projects.Providing strategic leadership across operational teams, uplifting capability, and embedding a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.Leading community engagement while exploring partnerships and sponsorship opportunities that support College priorities to enhance the offering to the young women of the College.About YouAn experienced senior leader with proven strategic, commercial, and relational capabilities as well as demonstrated ability to understand the operations will succeed here. You lead with integrity, service, and collaboration, bringing the maturity to navigate complex operational and governance environments effectively.It is expected that you will have:Proven experience in multi-functional operational leadership.Strong exposure to governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.Demonstrated capability in leading and developing diverse teams.Experience planning and advising within asset-intensive environments.High levels of EQ and a willingness to proactively lead from the front.A track record of building community partnerships and sponsorship arrangements.Relevant postgraduate qualifications (MBA or AICD preferred).On OfferIn addition to a competitive salary package, this role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Lourdes Hill College.
