Job Description

The Head of the Faculty Training School (FTS) will establish and lead a centralized faculty development function to enhance teaching quality across three university campuses. The role focuses on designing structured development programs, building teaching capabilities, and ensuring consistent academic standards.2. Key Responsibilities:A. Strategy & PlanningDevelop the university-wide Faculty Development Strategy & Framework.Build the annual and quarterly Faculty Training Calendar for all campuses.Conduct training needs assessment based on audits, student feedback, and academic leadership inputs.Implement standardized processes for faculty onboarding, induction, and ongoing development.B. Program Design & DeliveryDesign and deliver training modules on pedagogy, classroom management, NEP compliance, curriculum planning, and digital teaching tools.Conduct in-house workshops, orientation programs, and refresher modules for new and existing faculty.Collaborate with internal experts and external academicians for specialized sessions.Drive AI-enabled teaching tools, micro-learning content, and digital training modules.C. Monitoring & EvaluationEvaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and teaching audits.Maintain dashboards tracking faculty participation, improvement metrics, and completion rates.Align faculty development initiatives with NAAC, NBA, and NIRF requirements.D. Coordination & Stakeholder ManagementCoordinate with Deans, HoDs, and HR to identify skill gaps and development needs.Ensure smooth execution of multi-campus training programs.Prepare monthly progress reports for university leadership.Build partnerships with external training bodies, industry experts, and academic institutes.E. Administration & ComplianceManage training budgets, logistics, documentation, and LMS-based modules.Ensure faculty compliance with mandatory training requirements.Maintain accurate records for audits, promotions, and performance reviews.Supervise training facilities, materials, and digital resources.3. Required Qualifications & ExperienceMaster’s degree in Education, Management, HR, or relevant academic field (PhD preferred).Minimum 10 years of proven experience in faculty development, academic administration, higher education, or Learning & Development.Strong understanding of higher education pedagogy, curriculum design, and quality assurance frameworks.
