Job SummaryThe Director of Franchise Performance for one of our 7seven iconic brands, is a leadership role that centers on advancing operational excellence and ensuring alignment with the brand's vision, primarily through the strategic guidance of a team of Franchise Performance Leaders (FPLs). This position entails fostering strong relationships with franchisees and leveraging the expertise of FPLs to execute brand and operational initiatives effectively. In collaboration with Brand leadership and the GoTo Foods engine partners, the Director drives brand success and facilitates operational improvements. Responsibilities encompass the leadership of franchisee strategic business planning, performance, and the rollout of training and marketing programs, all orchestrated through the FPL team. This role requires effective communication, strategic adaptability, and a leadership focus dedicated to boosting franchisee performance and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement.Essential FunctionsStrategic Leadership and Direction:Provides clear, consistent direction to the Franchise Performance Leaders (FPLs) team, emphasizing high standards and expectations across all levels. Develops a unified direction and sets clear priorities, aligning the team’s agenda and strategy with the brand’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Additionally, fosters strong and influential relationships with franchisees, promoting cooperation and leveraging their support to positively influence their franchisees.Portfolio Health Monitoring and Growth:Maintains a vigilant oversight on the pulse of the franchise portfolio's health, proactively addressing potential issues to minimize unit closures and identifying opportunities for new unit development for their Brand. This strategic vigilance is crucial for ensuring positive net unit growth (NUG), reinforcing the brand's expansion and market presence. Through careful analysis and strategic foresight, while working to maximize opportunities for growth while safeguarding the brand's operational integrity and franchisee success.Operational Excellence and Region Management:This role is responsible for planning and directing operations within the assigned region. The primary focus is on achieving alignment with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). To drive success, strategic planning, and effective P&L/admin management are essential. Utilizing their franchisee relationships and effective management of the FPL team, this role encompasses setting clear goals for the region, diligently following up on those goals and plans, sharing best practices across teams, encouraging brand standards to be upheld, and proactively preparing for business-driving initiatives that enhance growth and customer satisfactionTeam Development and Performance Management:Focuses on the development of Franchise Performance Leaders (FPLs) through purposeful leadership and strategic planning. Holds responsibility for managing turnover rates, conducting annual regional and management reviews, and crafting development plans for the region of operation. Trains, motivates, and develops personnel to cultivate high morale and optimal human resource utilization. Through strategic oversight, ensures that all training and development initiatives are executed proficiently within their team.Intelligence-Driven Execution:Works in close collaboration with GoTo Foods’ engine partners, applying insights provided by analysts to implement operational changes or current standards enforcement that drive growth and improve brand performance. Ensures the strategic application of findings is aligned with brand-specific operations, facilitating necessary adjustments. Also ensures accurate budgeting and the completion of all required reports, maintaining compliance with corporate policies and deadlines for effective strategic decision-making.EducationWork Experience10+ years of operations experience working with franchisees, preferredSkillsCertificationsNot required, but helpful:Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) Project Management Professional (PMP) Travel RequirementMay be required to travel up to 75% of the time
