Do you have the vision and expertise to inspire a new era of responsible innovation through sustainability business partnering?Join us in Billund as the Head of Sustainability for the Global Licensing & Extended Line (LEL)Team, where your passion for sustainability can help build the future of play!Core ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be the driving force behind sustainability initiatives within the global LEL Team, ensuring that sustainable practices are coordinated into all aspects of product development.Partner with LEL partners and other business units to balance commercial, design, and sustainability requirements for all LEGO-branded licensing products, representing the sustainability perspective.Oversee the development of all Extended Line products, both brick-based and non-brick based, ensuring they adhere to the sustainability standards set for all LEGO Group product lines.Collaborate with the global Sustainability Team to build effective sustainability guidelines for Licensing Partners across various product categories and markets.Ensure that the sustainability guidelines align with broader group needs and work effectively across different product categories.Work alongside licensees, retailers, and other partners to facilitate a successful sustainability transition, balancing sustainability goals with commercial viability to inspire future builders.Lead the LEL sustainability team, participate in the LEL Leadership Team, and define and track critical sustainability metrics to ensure they are met.Play your part in our team succeedingThe LEL Sustainability Team is leading the important journey to ensure that all LEGO Branded products (Licensed products, Publishing Products, Outbound Licensing Partnership Products and the brick-based Extended Line Products) produced by the global LEL Team (and our external partners) are becoming increasingly more sustainable.The Licensed portfolios (Licensed Products, Publishing and outbound Partnership Products) are developed and produced by external licensing partners across many product categories, partners and in all markets. The role of this department is to support our partners on this journey and ensure that the right tradeoff decisions are taken.Do you have what it takes?We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds, as there are no strict requirements for this role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical approach and a proven ability to navigate complex challenges.Essential QualificationsProven experience in developing clear strategies and roadmaps for intricate areas, particularly within sustainability.Demonstrated ability to manage a complex partner landscape with various competing priorities effectively.Strong understanding of how to find balanced trade-offs, specifically in aligning commercial, design, and sustainability requirements.Experienced in leading diverse teams with varied capabilities, showcasing effective people leadership skills.A robust sustainability toolkit, including knowledge of legislation across markets, reporting standards, and innovative sustainable development methods and materials.Preferred QualificationsExperience in product development is advantageous.Familiarity with corporate governance, particularly in sustainability contexts.Background in consulting firms on their sustainability journeys is a plus.Build your career brick by brick at the LEGO Group."This is a fantastic opportunity to impact the sustainability journey for LEGO Branded Licensed Products and work with interesting and diverse partners (internally as well as externally)."
