About the RoleA global technology organization is seeking a highly motivated Business Operations, Planning & Licensing Director.This role plays a critical part in guiding the business strategy and operational execution of wireless, connectivity, and sensing business units.This position will drive business planning, commercial analysis, licensing processes, and ecosystem enablement while ensuring seamless coordination across commercial, legal, finance, technical, and marketing stakeholders. strategy and operational execution of wireless, connectivity, and sensing business units.The ideal candidate is strategic, analytical, detail-oriented, and excels in cross-functional environments.This role directly contributes to revenue growth, licensing success, partnership expansion, and long-term business value.ResponsibilitiesBusiness Operations & Cross-Functional LeadershipLead and support operational processes across multiple business units, maintaining strong alignment between general managers, legal, finance, technical teams, and commercial leadership.Ensure smooth communication, documentation, and operational discipline across the organization.Commercial LicensingSupport sales and legal teams in drafting, analyzing, and reviewing commercial licensing agreements.Drive consistency and alignment with business objectives while facilitating successful deal closure and compliance.Business Strategy & TrackingManage business operations related to sales processes, delivery oversight, revenue tracking, contractual commitments, and lifecycle management (renewals, amendments, etc.).Ensure accurate reporting and documentation to support operational excellence.Pipeline & Intelligence ManagementBuild and maintain customer, prospect, and market intelligence databases.Collaborate with GMs and sales teams to identify strategic opportunities and develop reliable P&L and forecasting dashboards.Pricing & Business Model DevelopmentWork jointly with product teams to define pricing strategies, evaluate business models, and identify new revenue opportunities.Support long-term forecasting and strategic planning across business units.Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem DevelopmentIdentify, evaluate, and nurture strategic partnerships across the ecosystem.Manage partner relationships, establish commercial frameworks, and coordinate joint activities to expand market reach.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent business qualification preferred.5+ years of experience in licensing, business development, business operations, or strategic sales within the wireless, semiconductor, or IoT ecosystem.Strong negotiation capabilities and experience working closely with legal, finance, and commercial teams.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively within a matrixed environment, managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.Understanding of wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular) is an advantage.Detail-oriented, proactive, and independent, with a strong execution mindset.Experience working in global environments; willingness to travel is a significant plus.
