Position Available: Director of CommunicationsJob Description: The nation’s most active public interest law firm litigating election law, voter fraud andintegrity issues is seeking a public relations specialist to further expand its presence and program. This is ahands-on, position with opportunities for national media appearances. Position requires generating earnedmedia, active reporter pushes, writing of opinion articles, expanding communications reach, social media,and developing creative opportunities to advance accurate and informed information about voting processand election integrity.Salary: Salary commensurate with experience, with range at $65,000 to $135,000. Favorable health, dental,vision, and life insurance plan, quarterly HSA contributions, work-life balance, PTO, and other benefits.Location: Old Town Alexandria, next to King Street Metro stationRequired Skills and Experience: Applicant should be an excellent written and oral advocate who isblessed with the gift of clarity, persuasiveness, and flair in written and oral communications. Most importantattribute is being a self-starter who is relentless in campaigning to media. Preference for candidates withexperience in generating media interest in stories, speaking to reporters and moving a story from inceptionto broad public attention. Preferred experience is also required in generating and moving content to widelyconsumed media platforms including newspapers, websites, and podcasts. Knowledge of federal and stateelection processes is considered extremely advantageous but not a prerequisite. Applicants must beimaginative, creative, and prepared to generate and execute media efforts with a high degree of individualinitiative.
